Quick look at Dr. Steve Kubby case.. Dentist, wife grossing over $500,000 per year. In Placer County California there are no "County" Medical Cannabis guidelines. Therefore, Placer County guidelines fall under those of SB 420: "guidelines protect patients from arrest provided they cultivate no more than 6 mature plants and possess no more tham 8 onces of dried marijuana." SB420
"Counties and cities are authorized to establish higher (but not lower) guidelines if they wish." SB420
With that in mind, and Dr. Kubby seemed to have the resources and one would think, the "smarts" to do a little homework.. and move WEST, go to SF area, go to Sonoma County ( DA's guidelines permit 3 lbs for pocession; maximum 100 sq. feet cultivation with 99 plants or fewer. Physicians may recommend more for exceptional patients.. CAnorml, local policies).
But NOOOOOO, Dr. Kubby has to take on "cityhall" so to speak, you never win.. too many egos at stake.
