Yeah I feel ya... our younger generation's music is embarassing compared to the guitar of the 70's and such, and not even compared to anything it is. I just dont get it, I dunno? Every song seems to be the same. I dont think girls are bitches, I dont think you having a gun is cool, in fact in the words of 311 "guns are for pussies" Why do you want to kill everyone and shit? Damnit... I'm so out of my time. Sounds like a bunch of people just need hugs... then skills to make music. Anyone can make weak SIMPLE beats with there fingers and record it and then talk shit to the beat. But... yeah after we turn 5 years old I dont see that as impressive. If you want to make a beat and be impressive then sit down on my drumset and get your arms and legs all moving to different beats... in fact try with 3 limbs! lol The only thing rap could have going for it would be the poetry, but most of the time they cant rhyme for shit... and isn't tupacs stuff just made up? Man, my people....

But yeah.. just opinon, I do realize I am way out numbered by all the kids.. but I'm stickin with the different generations when it comes to music.

i am suprised that more people don;t respect rap... i think just like most music the mainstream stuff is garbage... but there is a lot of talented artists and producers out there...

Rap is the shit, I grew up on it in the ghetto of Baltimore. I freestyle battle anybody and they are always in awe. As for todays rap you cant beat the originals. 2pac, NWA and what not.

I believe rap is a music of a hurting culture. What is really sad is when you see these middle class kids trying to be gangster. Cultures will always blend some, but something is wrong when our young people totally reject their own culture to take on that of inner city oppression. Especially when they are getting out of their jacked up 4X4 pickup with a Confederate flag hanging in the window. Two extremes colliding creating some confused youth.
