i am suprised that more people don;t respect rap... i think just like most music the mainstream stuff is garbage... but there is a lot of talented artists and producers out there...

Rap is the shit, I grew up on it in the ghetto of Baltimore. I freestyle battle anybody and they are always in awe. As for todays rap you cant beat the originals. 2pac, NWA and what not.

I believe rap is a music of a hurting culture. What is really sad is when you see these middle class kids trying to be gangster. Cultures will always blend some, but something is wrong when our young people totally reject their own culture to take on that of inner city oppression. Especially when they are getting out of their jacked up 4X4 pickup with a Confederate flag hanging in the window. Two extremes colliding creating some confused youth.
