Our Mission

The purpose of the Emerald Empire Hempfest is to unite our citizens in calling for sweeping reforms in America's laws against cannabis and hemp. This is a uniquely valuable plant: it provides high levels of key nutrients, relieves symptoms for patients suffering from an array of medical conditions, and can be made into environmentally positive products such as clothing, paper, paint, biodegradable plastics, and replacements for fossil fuels. Please join us in the fight to roll back prohibition and increase production and usage of one of the world's most beneficial plants!

It's not enough to just get on the bus now days! We are one people... get involved...get on the stage...and this will be the first gathering of its kind....see you there! In the Ken Kesey day's, it was "Get On The Bus" Normal Bean say's "Get On The Stage" Was the counter-culture a success? Has enough time gone bye to judge the outcome? In the early hippy days the term "Get on the Bus" meant to take notice and tune in, be aware......... Ken Kesey's Bus, Further....was the vehicle, so to speak. With the new generation of hippies, we now need to step into a new cycle. We can no longer just take notice, we now have to get involved..... The new term for today is "Get on the stage"....meaning everyone must be involved and participate to make an effective change in our life time....... In the early days according to the history channel ...the children suffered.....did they really....look around at eveyday life in Eugene OR.....there are children of that era walking around making a difference and all are aware. They have taken on all parts of life and to most would seem quite Normal......... so get on the stage and get involved in peace brothers and sisters.....we got obama elected now lets do the next step!
