How to Submit Articles for Consideration in our Printed Magazine

420 Magazine is proud to announce the rebirth of our print magazine in 2009.

Because we are currently doing everything in our power to stay afloat during these tough economic times, we can only accept donations of articles and photographs. When we get back to print for a few months and have recouped our expenses, we will be able to pay for submissions we use in our print magazine. Until that time, we are very grateful and truly appreciate all donations.

We need all the help we can get putting together our first issue of 2009, so please start submitting your articles and photographs now.

Submission Guidelines for the print edition of 420 Magazine articles/images:

1. All material must be ORIGINAL content written by the poster. We cannot accept articles that have been written by someone else. It is unacceptable to copy and paste an article/image that has been posted or printed somewhere else. All material must be presented in electronic format.

2. The author of the article submitted must be willing to sign a contract verifying his/her authorship and giving 420 Magazine the right to publish the article, and any images that go with the material submitted. All materials submitted to this thread become the property of 420 Magazine.

3. Articles should be written in English, with proper use of grammar and spelling. Typical posting language is suitable for the Internet, but NOT acceptable for print.

4. By-lines are given for articles, except where extensive rewriting makes that inappropriate. Please include a suggested author biography of one or two sentences.

5. Articles submitted to 420 Magazine should be written about Cannabis, Hemp and the industry and culture that surrounds it. We do not report on anything else.

6. Photographs: photos posted in our gallery are not suitable for high-resolution magazine printing. You must be prepared to submit your original photographs in jpg or tif format, at 300 dpi or higher resolution. Full size original digital camera images are the best to send, unless you have professionally altered an image in Photoshop or similar software to the specifications noted. Slides and prints are not accepted.
