Re: best papers?

ive used so many types of papers over the years its crazy. used to have a big tupperware box full, but i moved away from the head shop i bought them all from and they have slowley all been smoked. now i mainly use rizla silvers.

some of my favs have been:

kulu rice papers
rizla silver pack
bambu
zig zags white and orange packs
wildfire vanilla cream
OCB
juicy jay peaches and cream

i used to have these french wheat papers that were pretty neat, came like a book and your tore each sheet off, didnt have a sticky on so they would open up a bit which kinda sucked, but hey it was something a little different.

i found a picture of them, they had a slightly different cover i think, but they smoked pretty good for older papers

Re: best papers?

orginal zig zag white. You can still roll fat ones if you use the whole paper. and the paper is thin so you dont really taste the paper

This type of paper is refered to as "ungummed". This means the papers have no gumline to stick the paper together with. This is very popular with many brands of french papers. You must lick the paper a little more to get it to stick. Also, drying the finished J for a while before smoking it allows it to stick together better and not fall apart rather then smoking it as soon as your finished rolling it.

Re: best papers?

I really like the papers that come with the cans of American Spirit tobacco. One hundred percent flax. Perfect size. Burn real slow, in fact they work much better for weed than for tobacco.

I'm kinda into not using the same thing twice, but if I had to pick I'd use the tried and true zig zag.

asbestos in some papers? I don't know if that is true..Re: best papers?

Years ago, I was friends with a smart son-of-a-bitch....REALLY smart!

Told me 'some rolling papers have a slight trace of asbestos in them. Makes the paper burn slower'. He also claimed that some papers product contain more 'leftover' ash which is not good for your lungs.

He showed me and burned a zig zag paper, then next to it, burned a hemp paper. Zig Zag had more ash leftover than the hemp paper.

I found it interesting, but have never researched the asbestos claim.

He also mentioned, papers with "gum" are not good either to smoke.

Anyone heard of such a thing?

Re: best papers?

Elements are my favorite...Their very thin, so you taste the weed more than you would a regular paper. At least thats what I think....

hehe feel the same way. zig zags will never let you down but them clear big ones (aleda) are good to throw in the mix for a change of pace. i also like the fact 75% of people iv encountered whilst smoking a clear joint were afraid to hit it leaving more for us.

Re: best papers?

I personally smoke with Rizla silver......they're thinner than zig zag whites(i guess not for novice rollers). They burn slow and the spliffs taste better cuz of the thin paper. They're also not bleached like zig zags.
