First bit of advice, read a grow journal. I whole heartedly recommend P-420's journal for indoor hydro info and I"m not sure who for outdoor (i'm an indoor guy myself). Pick your favorite method and go.
If you go indoor, check out The Closet Cultivator by Ed Rosenthal or Indoor Maijuana Horticulture by George Cerventes. Those two books have contributed amazingly (along with the pro's here at 420t) to my indoor success! :)
