I have often grown a plant in veg in late winter inside, then induced it to flower before transplanting outside in spring. As the plant is at it's peak florescence when nearing high summer, you get a great yield, and for us here in Oz, it means buds for Christmas (normally weed drought time).. The only trick is to match the night and day timing so the flowering cycle is not interrupted.
