Jeeper, you're right...there were several such stories about Michigan's push to legalize marijuana for medicinal purposes a few months ago. Lately, I've been seeing more stories in the media because nearly half a million signatures were recently submitted to the Board of Canvassers for review. 304,101 valid signatures are required to get the initiative on the ballot. I think the submission of the signatures is why we are seeing these stories again in the media. Last week I saw four letters to the editor in the Detroit Free Press--all were in support of the effort. I am very hopeful that Michigan citizens will support this measure.
