Go by the Lumen rating. - My room is 12 square feet, running 35,000 lumens with 19 CFL's at around a total of 400 wats with fans and stuff. I am vegging and flowering with them, and they are is week 8 of flowering. I can tell you this, it won't be "poor". Maybe not up to a 400 watt hps, But after changing most of the bulbs in my home, I still save a good 200 watts over a conventional setp in the room and more than 3000 watts in the house. (My home has tons of recessed lighting with 150 watt spot bulbs)
