Re: 50 watt hps

Quit pissing in your plants. It's a waste product. What makes you think your plants want your waste products? There is nitrogen in it but there are better sources than piss. Get a decent nutrient made for soil growing. I myself like Pure Blend Pro. I use the grow for veg cycle and bloom for flowering. It's a one part mix, easy to use and works great. Don't use cheap soil either. I've been using fox farms ocean forest mix for years and never got bugs from it. I have gotten fungus gnats from cheap soil from the nursery department at the local grocery store though. There are other great soil mixes out there. Flower Power is one. Pro mix is a great soiless mix. Coco coir works great as well and naturally releases potassium as it degrades and is next to impossible to over water. The better coir brands are buy and use and require no rinsing or swelling.
A great low heat light to consider is the envirolight 65 watt cfl. here is a link to the exact light I use. It's the same one that George Cervantes recommends Lights of America 65W Fluorex floodlight (Brown) (9266) in his grow advice collumn. 1 per square foot works really well 2 per square foot works great! I even flowered with two of them on 2 plants in expanded clay balls in a bubbler/drip system. Not the tightest buds but smokeable and extremely stony. A couple cfls for side lighting along with the bigger cfl's would have made a nice little small space grow set up. The heat was low enough that I could use a few small PC fans for the entire ventilation system.lol
