Here in the "South," there have been so many different so-called cultivars brought in and sold here and there that unless you personally know what is in your possession, or grow for yourself, that you don't really know anything other than a plant has leaves and roots. It would be nice to take four different sativas and cross them twice, then separate them for several generations, and only let them inbreed maybe once every four generations. Select the plants that seem to have traits that are showing advancement toward being a viable landrace for this particular part of the world, and try to maintain traits and characteristics for such. These would, like any other cannabis variety, be able to be grown under care anywhere and could be bred to other varieties if wanted. On another forum it was mentioned to me that Citral would be good for this environment here, and to breed it or similar with (for instance,) a Michoacan, is basiacally the idea iI have. Take that cross and another similar mix, and work with them for traits that do well in high heat and humidity through a long growing season, along with traits that you would want also such as THC content, etc.
Ok, so now that I'm babbling here, going to head outside and take care of my little Mississippi seven. They're tough as woodpecker lips already.
