Not even close to the phototron. The phototron is a piece of crap that utilizes floros and grows one or two plants at one time max. This is a device that grows a lot of plants at one time and utilizes HID's. The cage has been around for quite a while and has proven itself in the cannabis market. Unfortunately only the rich or commercial growers can afford them as they can be quite pricey.
