As much as we like to blame the faceless government, or even put forth a face to aim at, the fact remains that there are a great number of people who believe in prohibition. The Christian Reich swings a mighty sword. To them, drugs are the hell's gate. I'm sure there are a few scragglers here and there (and most likely at 420) who buck that trend, but for the majority, it's the fight against evil.

A lot of folks are so into the majority rules ideal that they forget that this means discriminating against minorities. I'm sure there are groups, like NAMBLA, that we'd all like to target. Prohibition against boy molesting - should it be continued, or should the minority buckle into allowing it for the sake of protecting the rights of others. Well, this might be an argument that some Christian Reich members might make (Reich - you say, isn't that a bit extreme? You think it was just the Nazis who went after the Jews? Most of those Nazis were good Catholics!), however, we can easily counter that and say that molesting children violates the kids' right against abuse.

Anyways, we wish this issue was simple. I certainly hope that I'll see in my lifetime the laws against mj, and all drugs, are lifted so that I can spark one up and grow a plant in the yard without fear that some gun toting psychopaths are going to come knocking down my door, shooting the dogs and kids. I love MJ. I loved it ever since I busted down the myths I'd been taught in school.
