Yeah, we all wish we could just plant it and be left alone. But that is not how it is and the only way to change things is to take baby steps.
I-28 is the first step towards establishing grower's rights. Right now the grower is the least protected person in the mmj community. That just isn't right. Growers shouldn't be people's personal pot-slaves. They should have the right to collect a living wage (or better, if their work is superior) just like anyone else. The service they provide is valuable. I-28 makes it legal to pay growers for their labor.
It's time to free the slaves.
