I think it would be great for a state to finally pass a bill like this. Unfortunately the cynic in me believes that the damn feds will wield the same stick they have when they wanted the 55MPH national speed limit and a 21yr old drinking age. They withhold millions in federal funding for highways and other critical infrastructure. After all, the people who make most of our laws are the same hypocrits who rail against marijuana and then go home to suck down a bottle of wine and pop a couple of prescription drugs while junior's doing something really stupid like huffing in his room! The optimist in me hopes that once one state passes a bill such as this that a federal bill can finally gain some traction. Hopefully we shall see in my lifetime.
