Re: I-28 Collecting Signatures Now!
I love what you are doing, and understand why it is being done like this.
What upsets me is that I have heard too many times that "Real patients" suffer because others don't need it.
What you need to mention are the numerous people getting killed and committing suicide due to mental disorders, despite the massive increase in pharmeceuticals dispensed to the public.
It is another example how people refuse to believe these diseases are real, and not in the imagination of the patient.
You must include any disease that the DOCTORS see fit to prescribe. No government official has the right to tell doctors what is best for patients.
If it was not for Cannabis, I would be dead by now. Just like the diseases included, I would be just as dead. Or worse, freaked out like many bi-polar and depressed individuals do, and caused more harm then to just myself.
I think this is a good thing, for you and others like you. However to me, it is another hurdle placed that validates arcane views on mental health.
Laws were just passed that made insurance companies deal with mental health in the same ways they deal with physical, and that should extend to any laws that are passed for any drug or drug policy.
