The man admits he doesn't know that much about the subject then repeatedly states his position is carved in stone and won't change no matter how many ways or times he's asked.

Most politicians are at least smart enough to not reveal their position so they can keep both sides hopeful. When a politician actually takes a position it's a good bet they really feel strongly about the issue
