over fertilizing or fertilizing at all too soon is real easy , using the slow release and low strengths guano for the first months is very helpful its easy er to fix under feeding as apposed to over fertilizing and dont forget to have really good drainage.
as for clones it is way better to use a established clone than waiting weeks for a unknown sex to establish
