Obama did say that running the state is like steering a big ship... it does not change course quickly. I'm sure there is lots of institutional reluctance to stop what they've been doing... not sure how much pressure Obama is willing to assert for a cause he laughed off...

I'm still encouraged by Eric Holder's statements... I think Medical Marijuana still has momentum... we can only hope it goes far before the inevitable swing of the public mood pendulum.
