I also suffer from severe chronic pain from being a pedestrian and was hit by a truck running a red light at 35 mph and died for 3 1/2 minutes. 7 years later I was at a stop light again and was rear ended by a lady driving her suv 45 mph and talking on her cell phone. I was a stoner back in my younger days, I quit smoking for several years and was on a regiment of Dilaudid, Norco and Xanax. My quality of life was poor. Days where I wish I had died the pain wears so heavily on me sometimes. My doctor I'm so fortunate is sympathetic and had no problems whatsoever helping me get my medical marijuana liscence. I get strain lock so easily though, a day and a half of puffing on a strain and it no longer works for me. Which is why my Dr lets me grow more plants, as I gave up Xanax and Dilaudid for marijuana. My quality of life has improved greatly. I can't go completely off the pain meds, I tried, and no amount of extremely potent herb can bring my pain to a managable level , but it has let me greatly reduce my opiate use and I'm totally off the benzo's after taking them for 15 years.
One thing I've noticed, that the stuff I can get non-caregiver wise on the street level is better quality and less expensive than at the different dispensaries. I don't think that should be the case. It's sad when I know a guy who has like 12 different strains but isn't a caregiver and his stuff is less expensive and more potent. If you don't like the way something is then do something to change it right? Well.. I'm thinking that it's high time things changed.
Definately indicas, but sativas have their place too. Everything these days seems to be sativa heavy or mixed with sativa, hard to find really pure indicas anymore.
