Hey there, So there is a clinic in Portland called the THC clinic. It is about 185$ to see the physician. You have to bring in your medical records and you will usually be there for about 3-4 hours as you will need to wait for the dr. to review your records. They will sign your paperwork for you and send you on your way. In Oregon, we have to renew every year, so you can just go back 1x year. Also, the state building is right down the street (bout a mile) so if you are from out of town you can get the stamp stating you have submitted your paperwork all in the same day. They stamp your copy of the submitted paperwork and it acts as your card until they arrive in the mail.
My husband and I are caregiving and growing for our friend and have been off and on for a few years now. So that makes it easier to start the cycle than to wait for the paperwork to arrive in the mail.
