Hello everyone,
So I have been doing some research on growing, and so far this forum has given me so much knowledge on the topic. I started my grow 13days ago with a 5 day old Master Bubba Kush clone.

Clone - Master Bubba Kush
Soil - Fox Farms Ocean Forrest
Containers - 1 gallon
Grow Box - Tool Box
Lights - (2) Daylight 5600K, 100watt, 1620lumens = 3240Lumens
(2)Daylight 5600K, 100watt, 1450lumens = 2900Lumens
(1) Soft White 2700K, 200watt, 3860lumens = 3860Lumens
Total lumens - 10,000Lumens
Total watts - 600watts kool
Hood - A DIY hood
Inside lining - Foil paper ( going to change to either large sheets of white paper or mylar)
Nutrients - None Yet
Water -Tap water every other day if top 2" are dry (24hrs open to let chlorine evap and pH adjusted.
Air flow - small 4" fan inside for air ( Heat problems, so im adding a 4" 175CFM inline exhaust fan
Temp - 83F low and 103F High... Avg is 93F
PH Water - 6.6 ph
PH Run off - 6.6 ph

My leaves started to get yellow patches and the stem started to turn Purp/red...So I fixed PH balance (PH was at 7.5) and topped off the soil with about 1"more and watered. After I did this the yellow is going away and so is the stem coloring. Any idea what could have been the problem? maybe nute lock because of high PH level.

Re: My First Grow, indoor Clone w/ DIY CFL's

Well here are some pics I took today. The yellow on the leaves are going away slowly but surely. Still haven't started any nutes yet. I have also been switching between cfl's and Natural sun light, still keeping it on 18/6hrs. I would appreciate any input, opinions or advise if you see anything out of the ordinary.:bong: Cant wait to start LST!

Re: My First Grow, indoor Clone w/ DIY CFL's

I have read that once a plant gets some good sun, it won't like other lights as much.
But I don't have any personal experience. I wouldn't imagine the sun would hurt it, though.

Nice looking lil plant you got there, I'm sticking around to see it grow.

I also agree with HerbDoctor and Snailasaurus, stick with one lighting source because the CFL's cannot match the sun's intensity (not even close) so once the plant is used to the sun the lights just won't be as effective. Also if you are bringing the plant outdoors for a "sun soak" you are exposing it to pests and disease. Happy Growing :high-five:

Re: My First Grow, indoor Clone w/ DIY CFL's

Was alternating because I was in the process of moving. No pest problems while "sun soaking" because I had her indoors with sun shining through window. I am now situated at my new place and will be using CFL's only. Sorry I hav'nt updated pics due to moving situation. Will updated pics today...:bong:

Re: My First Grow, indoor Clone w/ DIY CFL's

Here are some pics I took today. I still have not added any nutes yet...Keeping it under CFL lighting only. I have a leaf drooping on the plant, but still looks healthy. Any suggestions to what I should do? Prune? leave it alone?

Re: My First Grow, indoor Clone w/ DIY CFL's

Okay so I said I was going to use Fox Farm nutrients.....But I ran into a financial snag. So I picked up some all purpose liquid Miracle-Gro w/ N-P-K of 12-4-8. What do you guys think? Has anyone tried this before?

I mixed 1/4 of the recommended dosage... Also Picked up some "Schultz Take Root" to clone her. Hope all goes well

Great looking plant HerbDoctor :high-five: Whatever you are doing you are doing it right and I'm gonna want the recipe for my next grow, "MG" or not :). I'm gonna take a seat over here to see the fruits of your labor if you don't mind the company.

Those Y's are great. I use them and a few other types and came up with something worthy of my plants praise. Have a look when you have some time.
