^ totally need perlite in there so those babies can breath. The leaves dont draw in oxygen the roots do, the perlite loosens up your soil so that can happen.
This is kool, its like you borrowed my plants!! I've been growing grape ape for two years now, and am growing my first ww's from seed as we speak. Lood Luck

I'm taking notes though! Like I said in previous posts, I'm on a very restricted budget! It sucks and I wish that were not the case, I would probably have some nice White Widow bud right now But maybe it'll pay off even more since shes over 4ft now IN VEG

Haha awesome! my White Widow is the oldest, shes over 4ft now :O I need to clone and flower her!!!!! I'm in the process of trying to obtain some lights but they are expensive. I'm looking at some 600w HPS - 1000w HPS, I found the 1000w on ebay for $125.99 brand new, here are the details: 1000W Hydroponics Lighting Kit FREE SHIPPING AND HANDLING
One year warranty on the ballast from defective parts or workmanship. Misuse and modifications made to the ballast will void the warranty. Great for hydroponic gardening or other high light output requirements. Reliable, durable and guaranteed! Dimensions: Heat resistant mogul ceramic socket attached to reflector: 20” long x 8 ½” wide x 3” high. 12 foot lamp cord plugs into the ballast. Ballast: 13” long x 6” wide x 5” high. 5 foot grounded power cord. Can anyone give me advice on this because I have an ebay coupon for 10% off and it ends in 7 days!! I want to take full advantage and pay as little as possible for the most output, but I also don't want to regret anything with possible loss. Thanks you guys are AWESOME! Alright, time for me to hit the hay! I'll be up early to feed the girls and post more pics, since Grape Ape is still missing from the scene here as I am going in chronological order. Also, if anyone can help me out on the lights decision I would GREATLY appreciate it! Thanks for everything! PEACE

be vary leary of SUPER good deals, cheap ballasts can die without any warning, just a hum and then nuthin!! alot of power runs through those babys dont wanna burn your house down. Try and find a special on a name brand if you can, preferably not asian. no offense intended asian dudes and dudettes. That reflector is like 15 bucks online, even on a tight budget you should get a better one, seriously. Around a hundred bucks will get you one that will last for years, spread the light pretty even, and reflect 97% or better. Believe me I know about workin a budget, and if it takes eating top ramen for a month it'll be worth it. I promise. About $300 bucks for a complete 1ooow HPS set-up (solid quality, not top of the line), which should include a quality bulb. How big of a space are you going to use? a 600 may save a few $ in the end and get you relativly the same results if put closer to the plant. I must be stoned, I'm babbling again; sorry.
gognats is organic, the main ingred is cedar oil. about $17 at the grow store. about enough for 160 gallons of treated water. lmao "crack rock lookin things" plants look good, could use more intence light though, then the branches would be closer together; but all in all appear to be healthy. stay the course really thats all i got........lol

LOL....yeah it's those crack rock looking things......they help keep your soil fluffy and creates air pockets in the soil allowing the roots to breath properly.

seedling....before you go and buy an MH or HPS ballast....You should look into electronic ballasts....These ballasts can use either MH or HPS bulbs.... it eliminates the purpose of buying multiple ballasts...In my area these ballasts are sold for 750W for $340 and 1000W for $440...They burn brighter than standard magnetic ballasts...and weigh much less...Good thing to look into.
