So one week in bloom now. They have streached alot! Every plant has flowers but not many, hopefully there will be more in a couple of days.
A few flowers  All four girls

Hey guys. My girls seems to favor streching instead of making buds, im a little conserned about it. Sure I can se more flowers, by every day that goes, but I want em to focus 100 % on budforming. Can I expect them to stop growing soon? Really want them to get fat and juicy.

Yeah when you first put them into flowering they will grow 40-60 percent before you really start to see the buds take off. Flowering is the hardest part of growing for me because it takes the most patience. In my experience depending on the strain the plants tend to stretch for the first 2-3 weeks of budding.

|
Keeping the light(s) as close to the plant as you can will help with inter-nodal spacing (which could mean bending the plant so that the light can be close to ALL of it instead o just the top), but yeah - MJ plants stretch at the beginning of flowering. Non auto-flowering ones that were mature when you initiated flowering will stretch for the first 40% of the total flowering period. If you know the true total flowering time you can estimate the amount of stretch. Or, if you don't but have kept track of the first day of 12/12 and the last day of stretch, you can calculate harvest day.

Idk man I would never top or fim a plant during flowering. It causes too much stress to the plant.
