Need Help in Toronto

Greetings,

I have suffered from Epileptic seizures for about 10 years. When I was diagnosed I was told i would need medication permanently and could not drive anymore. I struggled with Dilantin(1200mg/day) and Tegeratol(1200mg/day) for about 4 years until I was introduced to Cannabis from a relative and ever since then I have effectively controlled my seizures(simple partial and grandmal!!) without the use of the other meds and their horrible side effects. Recently, I have not been medicated with cannabis and I am having simple partial seizures again proving the need of cannabis for an anticonvulsant medication. My Family doctor is a close family friend and I feel that his views(respectively) will be different then mine. I really need a Doctor or organization that can hear me out and understand my situation and hopefully I can live without the fear of epilepsy anymore.

You might try MedicalMarijuana.ca they may be able to help if you have supporting medical records for your condition. Your epilepsy falls under Category 1, of Health Canada's rules. I truly believe that they may be able to help.

I will send you a private message with the name of 2 doctors in toronto who I have been told prescribe medicinal marijuana i aactually have appointments to see both of them myself so hope they are as good as I was told. But expect pm's shortly

Wondering if you can also send me those 2 doctors in the Toronto region.

I suffer from a rather extreme form of insomnia, only able to sleep about a few minutes per day. Basically disabled. My doctors are unwilling to investigate further, so I'm looking to replace them to say the least.

Hey could you send me the names of the doctors? I have been going to a specialist who looked at me like I had the plague when I asked about cannabis the first time.

I am just back from his office (my 5th visit or so) and I asked him about cannabis again and he simply lied to me, he said he "can't" prescribe it even though he and I both know he can. This was made obvious to me when he made a comment about how hes the third specialist I'd seen and so there would surely be more after him, as if I was on some quest for Cannabis. (he was the second I had seen)

I've told him how over the counter and prescription drugs have too many nasty side affects, but he just keeps giving me more.

Any help would be appreciated, especially tips on what to say.

Not sure if I got back to all of you but check out Dr david Saul 80 finch ave w toronto ontario and Dr david latowsky 3447 kennedy road scarborough ontario there both listed in the phone books Dr latowsky will help get you set up in a compassion center if he feels there is need to explore more conventional treatments first and from what I heard about Dr saul is he just helps you get all the info together to satisfy health canada and will help most people as long as they have a need for it to gert there licence.
