Hey everybody,
Who would want to see a test from start to finish using 3 areas, each containing an LED unit from a different company; some units having a power advantage, others simply use less power. Not going to mention brands at this point, because this is only the start, and I want input as to what y'all think about it. So...lets see where it goes from here.. -Go Green! |

you should check out the LED grows on here so far and start one up... 3 different ones would be great under control conditions

Hehe, I am glad people show an interest. Lights are being shipped, setup is taking place, it could be a week or so before much action is noticed. I just wanted to get the hype going, as I stated earlier.
Would anybody have any problems with using seed stock for the test? Clones are not an option at this point, and good genetics are seemingly impossible to come by around here. Autoflowering LR of some variety will likely be used, although it is a crossed, and backbred strain, basically a mutt to say the least. Do y'all think this will be not controlled enough for a test of this magnitude? I am glad I have gotten interest of a few of you thus far, please help spread the word. I want this test to show people what they want to see. Also it has been decided that the manufactures recommendations will likely NOT be used Anyhow... Hit me up peeps! -Go Green! Ideally, you would use clones from the same mother, but for my upcoming LED comparison grow, I'm going to be using seeds also.
I think as long as 4-5 plants are under each light, that should be a large enough sample size to provide useful information. I'm starting with feminized seeds, so I may be able to take some clones at some point and repeat the comparison with clones, but that's just a pipe dream right now  .looking forward to seeing your three-way showdown!

Glad you are all on board. Development is taking place...lights are shipped, etc...

all i mean is similar conditions like nutrients and soil. to best compare the LED lights to each other everything else should be the same except the lights.
