DIY Ebb & Flow Frequency Question

Hello Dear growers.

So I built my own ebb and flow system out of 5" PVC. Both reservoirs fill in about 2 min. Setup looks almost exactly as image in link below.



I've seen a couple threads on this sort of thing, but none of them were very clear. Maybe you guys can help? I'm trying to figure out how many times a day to flood, and for how long the water should remain within the grow chamber before draining?

I have a bucket ebb and grow 12 buckets that I grow clones in....

I water when the plants are young 4 to 6 times a day at 15 minuets intervals...

When the plants get a lot of growth, well into veg I water 12 times a day ....

Hope that helps I don't have the same system you have but I would thing it will work for you....u need a good timer that will allow you the setting up of a scadual.....

I us a switchable HD/HPS ballast, 1000 watt bulbs....

Yeah, thats pretty similar to what I'm running. I'm running a 6 site ebb & flow table & 2 ebb & flow buckets with a 1000 watt switchable Mh/HPS with Hortilux bulbs.

This round I ended up with 12 clones and 2 mother clons in 3 gallon dirt.......

I love the ebb and grow setup harvest 4 times a year.
