How to make the best use of 72"x24"46" heavy steel cabinet?

Hi
I'm looking at splitting up a nice locking steel cabinet which measures 72" tall by 46" wide by 24" deep. I'd like to do a perpetual grow if possible and was first thinking about splitting the cabinet up into one large flower area 72"x34"x24" thus leaving me a nice tall column of 72"x12"x24" to use for a mother, seedlings, veg. Would this be the best way to split the cabinet, or would it make more sense to take 12"-16" off the 72" height and use that as a short mother, seedling, veg area and a 56"x46"x24" for flower.

Thoughts/opinions? I've purchased my inline fan, CAN50 filter and an duct muffler already and am still shopping for the LED...down to just two brands now :) Just not sure how important a fancy electronic timer with dimming/spectrum control is vs a basic knob based dim/spectrum control light/thus no automation. I can't find anything to say plants really need a fake sunrise/sunset, do they?

Cheers
