White paint or mylar for the walls?

It seems like white paint would be longer lasting, cheaper, and hastle free but if it doesn't work as well then I would rather use mylar. Just trying to get a few opinions here. Also, if I did go with the paint, how long should I wait before putting plants in there? Thanks.

a flat white should dry at least a day or 2, but it really depends on the paint. I don;t know if the fumes will kill plants or not :-)

it gives them a really strange buzz and when the lights come on and wake them up they have a hell of a budache

i used flat white paint in my room and had to put the plants in the same night (while kids where at grannys) it didnt do them any harm

Flat white is best to use. It's cheaper and actually beats mylar for reflectivity of light.

the nice thing about the mylar is you could actually use it as a wall if you aren't a clumsy person. i'd fall into it something. i might use it as a temporary room for a small project though since i have a bit that was given to me.
