Lighting Help!!

Hey guys i have just begun my first grow and am wondering if i have enough light.. right now i have 4-4 foot 40w flourescents and 5 20w cfl's.. i want to add a hps but need to keep it cheap and cool. i was just thinking about getting a 150w hps to add to the flourescents cuz then i might not have to get an air cooled reflector. the space i am working with is about 3'x5' and 5 feet tall. its in a closet so it would be hard to run tubing in or out of there.. anyway im open to any suggestions and need lots of help so please leave your advice.

so you think i can put the 150w hps in there with the flouro's and it will be fine. anyone with experience on hps in a closet please chime in.. how big can i go without going ac?

A friend I know has a 250w hps in a small closet...he's got 1 10" fan on top blowing down & 1 18" blowing in and he's never had any problems...plus maybe trying to use the fluro's as side light might reduce the heat at the top, plus avoid too much vertical height... Luck man..

i had a 400 hps in a 4 x 4 closet last season and a blower blowing the exhaust out of the top of the closet and a plain oscilating fan blowing on the plants they grew great just be worried bout the smell when they are budding

ya i fugured i would worry about the smell when the time came to it. are those things with the little pucks that cancel out the smell any good? or am i pretty much gonna have to get a carbon filter?

the pucks wont do nethin for ya, but you wont need a carbon filter although if you can afford its definately a benefit....myself i had a bathroom fan that i hooked up in the top corner of the closet and that was enough to blow the heat and the smell out of the closet

well u need to blow the air outside somehow....i was lucky because i vented into the ceiling and hooked up the flew tube to the ductwork itn he apartment and it vented right out of the top of the bui;ding
