having an issue i have never seem or hear of before????? PICS

ok so i have never tried to regenerate a plant after harvesting but have always wanted to. so well i did it... hear it is let me know what you think so far.

ok. so the plant was started from seed. (bag seed it was really good) It grew and flowered in my closet under six 23 w compact flouresants. when it was ready i clipped 80% of the Herb and left the rest. Then, took the plant out of the pot while the soil was moist and cut back about 60% of the root structure (give or take) then planted it in regular home depot bought seed starter soil in the same size pot. Then i put it back in the closet under 24 hr light with 8 clones from my other plants. about 3 days later the buds stared foxtailing, then growing bigger irregular leaves and now it has some good growth going on. looks like im gonna get some clones out of it. good right???????????

here is my problem i have never seen this happen can some one please let me know what this is????

i am really intruigued, and want to see this carry out so if no one has anything to say its ok as well. but to whom is listening. i poped one of these blister looking things located on the lower stalk of the plant and its hollow? if you look at the last pic it really looks like a seed? it has tiger stripping on it? . what the eff man??

That is an insect called "scale". You can try scraping them off with your thumb nail but may have to resort to pyrethrin. They'll suck your plant's juices and may cause it to die.

thanks FreakNature ill scrap off asap im thinking of just taking the two clones it has and trashing the plant any how. ill use the clones for a mother.

Stony, thanks man only cost me like 25 or 30 bucks. I've been at this spot for a couple years and its performed beautifully. just an odd shaped closet.

Be careful you don't transfer those insects to your other clones. Look for other signs of infestation like fuzzy white mealy bugs. Just as you probably don't know how they showed up, so can they migrate to other plants.

I would scrape them off with a towel, then spray with a high N nutrient at 1/4 str. Then let it be. These are common on indoor palms as well.

Freak and boss have this one covered really well. This is a infestation and after treatment you should also include raising the light a little bit to allow them to recover some. After a few days lower the light and resume normally. The idea is to let them recover some without bombarding them with lumens.
