Re: what kind of box?
so i've decided to go with 18 100watt equivalent cfls. says they put out 1650 lummens a pice, so with 18 of them I'll have close to 30,000 lummens in about 4 sq feet. Should be plenty to take 3 clones through harvest. Any thoughts people?

Re: what kind of box?
lights are in, 14, 23 watt cfls. I bought them at costco so I don't know what spectrum I have. They look like cool white though. I'll have to get some warm ones when i go to flower. Need to cut vent holes and finish wiring tomorrow. And hopefully monday i'll start a new journal.

Re: what kind of box?
Whats going on stizzle, in the process of setting up a small cabinet, right now its just purchasing all the necessary supplies etc. Your Cabinet looks really good and the light set up is pretty interesting. What kinda ventilation setup are u going too use?? That 250 aughta be plenty of punch too pull 3 through flower. Just a little caution it can be difficult too cool with the ballast enclosed in all. So have you sprouted some beans yet?? Have you employed some odor removal tactics?? Well keep us updated. And with those buckets ooh boy those girls are gonna blow up up high, even indacas catch a case of stretches when swithched too 12/12. Halla back

Re: what kind of box?
werd man thanks for the kind words. I cut two 3 inch holes in the bottom of the box to let cool air in and one in the top to vent, but its not enough with all those cfls. I'm going to get a fan in there soon to circulate air hopefully that will help. I will need to figure something out when I get my hps. Going to grow clones, not entirely sure of the strains yet, but one will be a banana kush with any luck.

Re: what kind of box?
Nice stizzle ventilation i tight quarters can be interesting. I had 250 watt hps enclosed ballast and swapped it for a 400 watt air cooled that with decent ventilation ran cooler than that dern 250.

Re: what kind of box?
thanks man. the grow is actually underway as we speak. Got two OG Kush clones and one Green Morphine. The cat got into them though so i dont know if one of the OG clones is going to make it. if it doesnt i've found some paris kush clones to replace it with.

Re: what kind of box?
I removed the cabinet doors and replaced them with curtain backing, its white and has velcro down the middle. Easy to get in and out of completely light proof, and it helps my temps a few degrees. My squirrel fan comes tomorrow so that will help with temps too. I have a 250 watt hps on the way, its got a remote ballast, so I hope my ventilation will be adequate. to recap my ventilation will be two 3" passive intake holes and a 28cfm squirrel fan, with 2 fans in the cabinet for circulation.

Re: what kind of box?
Put in a riser table under the 2 small guyz so they can be closer to the lights. I'm growing under 150 watt eq cfls and i have them about 2" from the plants tops, no burn.

Re: what kind of box?
Your plants are deffinately stretched alot. Right now you should take the screen out and get the lights as close as possible untill they are a couple nodes high. Then weave them into the screen and flower.
