Can anyone confirm or dispel the idea that hot temperature exhaust air diminishes the effect of the activated carbon filter's odor scrubbing ? Does cooler exhaust air get "scrubbed' better ? Would it be advisable to not use filters on inline light reflector exhausting and use it only for general grow room exhaust?
I thought I read something about this somewhere inside this mountain of web-info... - AB |

Re: Q: Carbon Filters...
Haven't noticed any differences in mine with 90 degree plus temps. If anything it seems to be doing better. Humidity is the biggest issue with carbon scrubbers. Need to keep the humdity down or the carbon gets water logged.

Re: Q: Carbon Filters...
Thanks for the quick response, and ya know what, it may have been HUMIDITY that I had read about...
(And that seems to make sense/work well: during flowering, humidity should be gradually reduced as harvest approaches to prevent molding and eventually prepare for drying/curing - and as harvest approaches, the carbon filter needs to filter out the increased odors) Just ramblin' to myself... ...thanks for the feedback Killer. |
