700 watts of cfl power....

cfls 4 life! this closet if for flowering only. there are about 42 plants in there (og kush, purple kush, starship, grandaddy, the church, and grapefruit kushthe closet is pretty long so ive decided to shift toward SOG. if u look at the pic again you'll see about 25 2-liter bottles...in those are zero-veg clones. im working those in, and slowly working the black pots out because they are slightly bigger. when all the black pots are harvested i should be able to fit about 75 clones in there. im going to be doing a perpetual harvest of 9 plants each week...which will total my flowering room count to 72 plants. i know i can pull a quarter off each minimum so hopefully im lookin at 63g a week which equals 9oz a month!










and to all my cfl peeps: we gotta get a club or somethin goin...you know....somethin for the guys that love toyin wit cfls!

Very nice work! Very impressive. I still think cfl light has the best overall spectrum for plants, but I have not tried a straight hps 12/12 grow yet.

thanx boss....just trying to keep the cfl movement afloat. i have yet to try a hps 12/12 grow either but im sure it would be rewarding. you should see these zero veg clones at about 7 in with bursting white pistil hairs....as a matter of fact i think i will post some pics a lil later!

as you can tell i added a couple 26-watt 3000k cfls in there to achieve an even 700 watts. also you will notice how i pruned back all my fan leaves on the 8 plants that are in black pots. i agree that its bad to prune back leaves because they increase photosynthesis and act as little solar panel, but to a certain extent. (besides gigantic leaves that are covering bud sites) I never prune back leaves UNTIL my last 1 1/2 - 2 weeks of flowering when a flush is near and about 60-70% of the pistils have changed color. all 8 ( 3 grandaddy purple, 3 og kush, starship, and the church) will be ready to harvest in about 12-15 days!

You should never cut off all the fan leaves. And you harvest by the trichomes not the pistils.

i know that! i am very familiar with the strain that i am growing. i know that by the begining of week 7 my trichs are cloudy....and by week 8...my trichs are 20% amber and 80% cloudy just like i like em! and fyi ive been doin this pruning in the final week for a while and my buds have been very grateful!
