I live in NY but am planning on moving to CA or NV within a year. I'm wondering how dispensaries work. Does a prescription indicate a particular strain or just MMJ in general? Do dispensaries have a lot of different varieties? Do they have hemp bud oil (as opposed to hemp seed oil)? How about cannabutter?

Hi I have worked for years in co-ops in southern california.
I hope I can help you. You need to get a California drivers license and a original doctors recommendation. They cant prescribe marijuana the doctor can only recommend it for his/her patients. I would suggest you see a medical marijuana doctor due to verification. Each new club you go to calls your Dr. to verify you, Once you are admitted you have a wide variety of Flower, medicine edibles and concentrates to choose from. Some clubs carry clones as well. I wish you luck in your move. Take care
