The Whittier City Council will hold a public hearing at 6:30 p.m. Tuesday to consider an ordinance banning medical marijuana dispensaries.
The Planning Commission last week voted 3-1 to recommend against such an ordinance. The council in April had voted 3-2 to ask staff to draft a ban on the businesses. The meeting will be held in the council chambers at Whittier City Hall, 13230 Penn St., Whittier. For more information, call (562) 464-3330.
