Smoke2Js Breeding Program

Purpose: To create a Super Sativa and a Super Indica unique to Oakland and its growing conditions.

How: Buy using the following hybrid clones: Some of these are strains are already unique and awesome smokes on their own. ♀Purple Urkle, ♀Blue Cheese, ♀Romulan, ♀Strawberry Cough, ♀Omrita Rx, and seeds from: ♀ Sour Diesel x Chocolate Thai x OG Kush x ♂ Hash Plant , ♀ Nigerian Sativa x Ruby Wand x ♂ Hash Plant, ♀ Nigerian x ♂ Sandy Beaches. Peruvian Sativas #1 and #2 (Land Races)
1st priority will be an Indica strain to reduce inflammation, relieve pain, induce hunger, and relax without the effects of paranoia ,clouded mind, spaciness, out of body feeling, tight chest, and bloodshot eyes/ or light sensitive eyes or couch lock.
2nd priority will be a Sativa Strain to elevate mood, induce hunger, energize with clear mind, with a strong psychedelic without paranoia ,clouded mind, spaciness, out of body feeling, tight chest, bloodshot eyes/ or light sensitive eyes and couch lock.

SWEET! Remember those pornos from the 70s? The music was priceless! Or so I've heard, ahem.

I'm pretty stoked about crossing my Jack the Ripper male with an OG Kush, Deadhead OG and another JTR. Will be so much fun growing out the resulting seeds. I pollinated just 1-2 buds per plant in flower, and so far so good - looks like I've managed to keep the pollen isolated to just the intended buds. Whew! I wouldn't be too upset if I screwed up and seeded more though. Seeds get a bad rap - seeded bud can be really potent and yummy, and seeds represent promise for future yummy cannabis.

I'm pretty excited to follow your breeding adventure, too, as you've got a good looking male there (that felt weird to say). Should be some great crosses. I really like that you've identified your goals - I hope you reach them all. I think I've shared this with you before, but I'm especially curious about your crosses with the Omrita Rx. Are you going to selectively pollinate a bud or two etc., or are you going to let them get completely pollinated?

Hey Xlr8, 1 of each cutting will be completely pollinated by the male in the closet, the others will be pollinated by a male i select later from the same group of seeds he sprouted from, and others in the herd from the available males. I am not expecting them to get too big because of the seeding process. I will also do a few sib crosses to keep my seed stock up and crosses between the available seed stock. lots of cloning, Lots of record keeping which I hate. Paperwork Bah! I will do it so I can re do something awesome when I find it hiding in the genes of the plants. Lots of smoke testing, hope my lungs can handle it. Time to get a whip for my vaporizer.

Thanks Twelve12, Had to do it to keep my records straight. That way when its a big monster, I will know what is what, when I did what to it ,how and why. I am going to use a spread sheet to keep track of it all. Its a must do for this project.

Seeds are beginning to pop. About 120 to 150 seeds. My roomie is picking up 150 solo cups for the project, should have those tomorrow. Great to have less of a financial burden. Hella seeds in hella cups for hella days.

You're growing out 120-150 seeds? Sure you have space for them later in life? Unless you keep them small SOG should be no problem.

I have a lot of space. I will cull most of them during the selection process. Only keeping the winners. I am thinking of cloning the "select" to make back crossing easier and sure..

Welcome back ilynnboy, Both Lucy and The SLH did not make it through the winter. The Blue Dream did.
Going to be putting seeds in cups today, most of them have cracked open enough for me to see white.

I will have pics of the cups when the weather gets better. hella rain. The male in the closet has opened a few flowers , leaving little sprinkles of amber powder on dark purple leaves. i'll have pics of that soon.

I moved the cuttings outside into the sun(yeah). They are still green and the droopiness of the leaves is gone(its alive!!). Just a few seeds are sprouting and pushing up to the sun(meh). I have placed the mothers in the closet with the male for pollination(bowmchickabowwow). I will make more cuttings later this season for back crossing and the like.
