1st Indoor CFL Grow Box! Check Me Out - Tips & Critics Welcomed!

hey the this is my first indoor cfl grow box. i happened to get 3 mighty might mothers droppped in my lap an had to act fast. so this is what i came up with.. ill be postng updates, any tips or criticism is welcome, id love to hear some input. i was gonna clone the hell out of the mothers an plant them outside. but read online a bunch of times that it is an auto flower atrain an wont work with cloning. so i decided to just rig up a grow box to flower 2 of them. right now i am 10 days into flowering using 2700k cfl right now i have 10 on 2 plants. the temp is running around 80 or a little higher. the pics go from crappy set up to semi crappy btw ;p lol

gonna be getting to work on my home made carbon filter exhaust vent within the next couple of days. ill be posting my build on here with pics and description. around 2 weeks into flowering and these girls are stinkin to high heaven already :) im not complaining or anyyything lol if it were up to me id bottle it an keep it on me at all times ;) anyways i had a question if anyone coukd help me with.. with my carbon air filter set up should i leave the exhaust fans on 24/7 even when the lights are out for 12 hours ? or should i just run it only when everything else is running ? any tips would be greatly appreciated. thanks

i added a t5 6500k sun blaster buld into the mix for some side lighting. any thoughts? im very curious about mixing of spectrums.

any idea what the burns are from anyone? lights arent close enough to do it.

wow i really am considering a bigger box so i decided to check yours out dude i definetly undersold this, great box dude this is NICE!

maybe for height just do a simple wire shelfing like for a closet ? i have seen this idea many times in PC boxes and actually am going to incorporate when i do another Auto Grow.

GREAT! im glad to hear that bro thats what im going for. I m building a new set up for my lights tmrw just purchased a couple computer fans an some other goodies today. gonna go for like a air cooled custom light thing lol itll look cooler then that sounds im sure ;) lots cheaper then the store bought ones i was looking at. thanks for the compliment dude! appreciated.

i'd like to put it in my Pc box the wire shelfing is more of an LST thing, i just want another box in my room to grow a full size plant. you can get the wire shelfing to keep your plants from getting too large (just a thought) and yes CFL is cost-effective i love them as well (wire shelfing made for closets and stuff you can just buy the size you want or cut a section and fit it in your box

i can tell we are gonna make good friends ... This is nice .. way more than i ever dreamed of doing 0.0 Love to see them with that many lights nice job i will check regularly and the white widows sprouted as well as orange bud just waiting for females now

well here is the upgraded grow box. so far iv built and added the new light set up, and now i modified the front so i can have some easy access without having to open the top of the box every time! so much better now cause i tend to open it often lol anyways heres a few pics of my modifications :) next ill be building a new bottom to accommodate the little vegging area ;)

all done cuts are made an shes all put back together just better ;) added a latch type door on to some hinges so close up tightly.

a few bud shots have to be in here too lol i mean its what all the works for ;p anyways their about 16 or so days into flowering. hopefully this new light set up will pound some weight into these ladies. cause i likem think as f**k :) be posting the new bottom of my box build soon its gonna give the box a bit more height over all and give me a spot to veg my ladies before flowering ends. kinda like a little cycle. anyways thanks for checkin it out so far. till next time folks ;) ;)

Yeah i can definetly appreciate this as far as ingenuity goes alone. Thats what 5 lights on each side of your HUD ? WOW watts lol (my box fits 2 lights. ) ALSO im wondering did you take my advice for the fans ?
and how is your hinge ? i was thinking of making a solid box but one side just overlap wood and use like wooden pegs (two in the top of the wood) to just hold the door up and pull them out to take the door off ? maybe your idea is better ?

great thanks alot. i appreciate that! an yea shes bright as hell lol its good though so far the temps are staying even and i am definitely getting more light directed on my girls ;) i might even throw 1 or 2 130watt cfl's in each corner (one in back left corner, an the other in the front right corner) i think that should be plenty. an yes i sure did take your advice. on the pic there of my fan i commented ++reps to Legalised lol. again thank you thats awesome. an my hinge is okay. i used to like basic cupboard ones i had kickin around. im gonna run a window sealer tape stuff around the edges to make sure shes completely light locked. an i just finished her up last night, im gonnabe heading to home depot here in a few for supplies an im gonna try to find some sort of collapsible peg thing to mount on the inside of my lactch to keep the door open. ill post soe pics of what i come up with a little later today.
