This is slowly becoming the "How I converted my parents" thread.But my mom a very avid christian finally understand the medicinial uses of pot.Now if pot was the last medicine on this earth,she would go without.But at least she understands the medicinal value of it.

I had a rude awakening today. I bought a temp and humidity gage yesterday. My humidity is 43% and temp is 75 (F) with a low of 63. So, I put a humidifier in the room today (really it's one of those chest cough things that mists out hot water for your chest) so hopefully I can get low temps up and humidity up to 70-80% but we will see.

I expect seriously low yield now though, I guess that's part of the problem with growing in the basement in the north.

Update:After 1/2 hour I am up to 65% humidity and temp went up 5 degrees. I think I will do ok if I get temp to 68-70 and humidity to 75 or 80.

boss-g, i dont wouldnt use the humidifier if i was you. 43 percent is pretty damn low but the drier the air the better. later in flowering your girls will produce more resin to prevent the buds from drying out. i am actually looking in to buying a DEHUMIDIFIER for my plants lol.

I am planning on shutting the humidifier off during lights on, this was just an easy way to get temps up a bit, as well as add humidity. I have to do more research i guess.

Wow, I thought 63 degrees was pushing it. I guess they have done ok so far huh :-) I am just worrying because I am flowering with cfl's, maybe my mom will gimme some cash to buy a 400 watt Hps :-0

oh, BTW I don't live with her :-) She lives about 30 minutes up the road in her little mansion :-)

Looks like I will be at 66 degrees (lights off) at 71% humidity. Should I pull out the humidifier and go back to 63 degrees and 43% humidity?

yea dude, i would pull the humidifier, they should resin up pretty good in the last 2 weeks or so of flowering. 66 degrees should be fine, a little on the cool side, but i dont think its too cold to hurt it. but the humidity should def. be dropped back to 43

If I pull the humidifier, temps will go back down to 63 or so, but the humidity will go back down. I read they can take down to 50 degrees though.

Mago, I tried to get her to smoke when she got cancer and was going through chemo, but my mom is one tuff cookie, she said the chemo didn't bother her much, and she was on quite a dose with that pack that drips it in over time. She gets by with almost no drugs for anything, an amazing lady!
