Boss's Poor Mans Grow

whats the good word Boss? So how is the carbon filter situation? This weekend I'm going to HOBO to get all the supplies to build my own "super filters" and wanted to hear your take on it. Do you have faith in the carbon scrubber?

I do tony, mine is working better now that I put in more carbon, but I still need stonger exhast fans. If you want less noise, then have to be bigger then computer fans. I'm working on it :-)

Seems to me they grow a lot in the dark, so I did some supercropping today before lights out and added flowering nutes at 1/4 strength to give them a feel for it. They are looking beautiful and the seedlings have all sprouted and are 1/2" tall. (They will be on 12/12 like SpeesCees suggests. Oh, I gave the babies their 1/4 strength seedling 4-4-4 today as well.

thats re-assuring. I'm sooo paranoid I think it might be this WW I puffed..........I'm very interested to see what those that went 12/12 are going to produce

Well I have limited lights (10) to flower. I have to get more cords for more bulbs(I have the bulbs) because I dont wanna waste any light on the little ones, that I could be useing on the big ones. The seedlings need light right on top of them. The big ones need em up high, but on top of them. I really need to buy mylar and some cords and light kits..

Since I started flowering, the wife said she can smell it upstairs. So I had to beak down and spend about 40.00 on a bathroom fan, some parts and a setup for 4 more lights :-)
I also found some bloom booster, so that was good.

Ill take pics of the new carbon filter when it's done.

I plan on using multiple filters to scrub the air that has already been scrubbed and go from there. A friend said that he had to use 3 filters but when buying the materials at bulk it helps. I believe the most expensive part of this is the charcoal and fans. I walked into his house and it wreaked of guano......it wreaked soooo good

Ya, the problem was not the filters I made, but the fan strength to get the air through them. I can't do anything till lights on, but I did wire the 120v to get ready, and another outlet to split up the power onto 2 seperate breakers.

I had something to say here and That Smell by Lynrd Skynrd completely thru me off Ah yes, my neighborhood hydro spot said that you should have 18 inches of carbon filter per 5 plants. I thought it may be a sales tool but it does make sense, but I have never utiliized a scrubber in the past. Stealth was never an issue How much do you just want to smoke some of these ladies

LOL! No smoking yet, too much fun to ruin it early. Besides I need to measure yield and prove Cees's 12/12 in the next batch that just started. 18 inches? Wow.

I am trying to put the filter together now, got everything ready to be installed, but even the bathroom fan bogs down if the carbon is too thick. I'll figure it out :-) Then I will take some pics because I added lights as well.

Ya, I spent another 45.00 today. I just finished with everything, the fan is vibrating so bad I hear it on the 2nd floor and it's in the basement... Can;t use the drill anymore tonight, so I will have to secure it better tomorrow (And it has foam between it and the fan) I will run down and take pics in a sec.
