If you dont have much flowering height, I would definately flower them 12-15 in. They will double to triple in size when they are flowering. Looking absolutely wonderful now though!

If height is not an issue, I would pune the bottom 4" off. the bottoms will just lay in dirt and get nutes poured on them. They are looking good! Keep wet/dry on them and they wont shoot through the roof :-) If you flower them at 18" they will get pretty large maybe 5-6 feet, at 12" about 3 1/2 to 4 1/2 feet.

Thanks for the nice comments and the great info! I'm going to work on trying to make my grow space a little larger and taller. One guy with a shovel in a cramped space so its gonna take a while ;-) It is pretty cool that each plant is so very different. I have one skinny one, one short one, one bushy one, and one tall one. I think I will trim off the bottom 2 branches to keep them off of the soil. Thanks again for the help guys! I'm gonna enjoy watching them grow big and fat!
It's kinda hard to really tell at this point but I think I may have 3 girls and 1 boy. I germinated the other 5 seeds and they all sprouted. I hope they catch up fast since they are under the MH light from the start unlike the 4 plants now that were 3 weeks under approx 5k lumens of cfl's. They started off slow and have really picked up since being under the MH. Grow babies grow! |

I worked hard this week to dig out a much larger area under the house for my grow room. It sure is a lot of work digging and filling up buckets with dirt and dumping them on the other side of the crawl space! Anyway, the space is now 5ft wide x 12 ft long and 5' 9' tall. I plan to paint the concrete wall bright white.
The plants are coming along nicely, I may start to flower next week as they are about 14 inches now. Also, I have 5 more chronic seedlings and 1 haze special. Here are some pictures. Here is the new room. |

I moved it up higher for the picture, it can go about another foot higher. I am keeping it about 24 inches above the plants the rest of the time. Does that sound about right if I am getting ready to flower or should I get the light closer?

im sorry i got to this thread so late or els i would have had some sugetions for you. im not bashing your plants you've done a very nice job. props, i would have done some things differently. If you would have continued to top the plant you would have some serious bushes. i garuntee they dont recomend topping the plant is so you needto buy more seeds from them. i would have topped it two more times. But something you still can do is supercropping. look for the supercropping thread on this forum and you will read all about it.

Serious Seed does not recommend toping this plant, they say it does not respond well. Have you grown this strain and had success with toping? I would definitely have to read up on how to do that since I have not tried it yet. I am totally open to any suggestions since this is only my 2nd grow and my first grow did not give me anywhere near the results that I was hoping. I've seen some super-cropping and would be interested to try it.
I just checked the plants today and believe that there are 3 girls and #4 is definitely a boy. I am going to put him in the box I made and will collect his pollen. |

iv'e never topped a chronic plant, iv'e never grown a chroionic plant or els i would have, i have only fucked around with some ak seeds and sour desil seeds but topping will give u a bush perfect for indoor grows cuase it will grow out instead of up and the yeild is raised. but more branches mean more roots so you will need bigger buckets. i like starting in a huge bucket so i dont have to worry about shocking the plant when transfering it to a new pot. to top the plant you need to cut it at about a fourty five degree angle just above the two smallest branches a the top doing this will make those grow out as the top would have. then you can top those also if you are that daring. you need to trim the plant to. you can take up to 50% of the leaves off without killing it, i dont recomend it but its just good to know. like i siad eralyer you should check search supercropping on this website and find the tutorial ( room mod can you give me a hand and find that link?)it will tell you how to top and get the most out of your plants in a small indoor grow.

I moved the large male to a separate growing space so I can collect the pollen. Does anyone know about how long after first seeing the little balls before they will start to drop pollen? I put the plant on top of a clean sheet of plastic but may need to wrap another one around the base of the stem so if any falls it will collect on the plastic and not in the dirt.
Also, once I get the pollen, when should I plan to dust some of the female buds with it? Do they have to be in a certain week of flowering so the seeds have enough time to grow fully? |

Go down to the section on pollination. Lots of great info there.
