McBudz - Twilight, Great White Shark, Master Kush - 2009

I used rockwool for Twilight and paper towel for MK and GWS. I am now convinced that damp (not soaked) paper towel in a small tupperware container sealed on top of my T5 fixture works the best for germing. Less then 24 hours to pop.

Only reason I use the floro's and not my MH 400 is to keep electric bill down as to not raise suspicion and help with heat and noise. I'd have to run another fan if I were going to go with the MH in the there. If my tent were not filled with budding plants I would def veg in there under MH.

mcbud I bought the dr150w tent. Same as yours. How many 5 gallon pots would you recommend inside the tent if i go scrog, lst or just regular growing? Im plannig on starting of wtih gh white widw if that helps. thanks

6 was a tight fit with full grown plants since a lot of light got blocked from reaching the lower portion of the plants.

You could do a bunch of small plants SOG style or I would say not much more than 6 x 5 gallon plants. I think 4 bushy plants would be ideal with 2 lights and the space to work with to lst or scrog.

This next go around I think I may just try 4 and see how that works out for me.

The GWS, MK, and Twilight were put into flower last Friday :)

last 2 feedings have been Grow Big 15ml/gal Cal-Mag+ 5ml per gal. Will go one more feeding like this then switch over to TB.

LST'd right until flower. I left untied at last transplant, first day of flower, and just let her go naturally after that. She already had nice branching from being LST'd for the first 4 weeks. She has at least 6 nice colas forming. I will spread them outward once she stops stretching.

Nice journal, "again." Do you think if you didnt lst your plants that they would have probably grown out of control? I have the dr150. Where do you have the exhaust vent going to becuase i was going to build a build a wood box for the window and have mine going to that. what do you think?

How often do you use the cal-mag?? I have it also, but only give it to the ladies around week 3 of flower, they don't really ever seem to need it in soil, but it keeps the leaves green a bit longer instead of sucking nutrients from them so soon.

Lst makes the difference in the crazy bushy growth. If I didn't they would sort of get that christmas tree shape with one main cola.

My exhaust runs over to my window. It just rest near it with a window fan passively blowing air out the window. I have a black blanket over the window area prevent light from going outside when I work in the tent at night. So the exhaust is basically trapped between the blanket and the open window. I will work on setting something up where the exhaust vents directly outside and possibly get an intake set up so the lights will be on a closed vent system. So essentially intake will suck outside air in across the lights then back outside. Once I have something like this in place I can start looking into a C02 setup since air isnt constantly being suck out of the room.

The reason for this is I do not want the 449CFM fan vent my A?C out the window at 449 cubic feet per minute. lol. That would suck.


To do this I will have to rig my 147CFM 4 inch fantech fan to my carbon filter to handle odor. Otherwise it will get very stinky in the McBudz house

I use cal-mag + all the way through the grow until the final flush. 5ml per gallon every feeding.

I add PK 13/14 by canna at week 3-5.

Supernatural Green Stay about twice a week until buds start forming. Once buds form I dont spray them with anything. I will mist just the fan leaves strategically.

hey McBudz, great grow so far. I always like watching your grows. Although I may not comment, I will always be following your journals.

The twilight is looking good and really caught my eye. Those tops are gonna be great producers!

About the Cal-mag. Is this just to protect from deficiencies or do you recommend this treatment to anyone? What differences do you see when using it vs. not. I am looking to upgrade my nutes w/ something a little extra and was thinking about picking up some cal-mag after noticing you use it alot.

I run the C/M because I see Mag deficiencies if I don't This is due to the fact I use strictly RO water. Most tap water has enough trace minerals to take care of the mg or cal defs. The MK was very sensitive to something when it was young. Burned like nothing I've ever seen. Possibly did not like the extra cal-mag in the beginning or could have been any combination of nutes. She's loving it these days though.
