Thanks for the replies you guys. I appreciate you all checking in on me. And thanks for the compliments on my set up.
Not much new to report. Day 3 under the MH light. They're all looking pretty good. I do have one concern though. One of the Violator Kush hasn't grown any real leaves yet. I think it's my fault. This was the first one that I pulled out of the Rapid Rooter tray. I couldn't grab it to pull it out so I stuck my finger around the edge of the tray and pushed up on it so I could get it out. I didn't know the tap root was hanging down in there and I had it between my finger and the plastic. When I pulled the Rapid Rooter cube out I ripped a good chunk of the root right off. I realized what happened right away and used chopsticks to get the rest of them out. Here's a pic: The rest all look like this: I hope she's ok. She's growing just as tall as the rest. She's just not growing leaves yet. Do you guys think she'll recover? |

I think you will be ok. I had one do that and it topped itself right on the start.

I don't know pan4gold, I'm a little worried about that one.
The leaves are starting to grow, but they're coming out kind of mis-shapen. It's hard to tell in the pics, but they're also looking kind of half yellow and half green. Take a look. I have another one that I'm starting to get a little worried about too. I got up this morning and it was laying down flat. The leaves were facing up and they look pretty healthy. It's just growing sideways. I propped her up with a stick. I'm going to get them a fan today. I was going to wait a few weeks in case I wanted to try LST or something, but I think I'm just going to let them grow naturally this time. The rest of them are looking pretty good. I germed the 5 free Power Skunk seeds Attitude sent with my order to fill the 2 pots empty pots from the VK and White Widow that didn't make it. One of them didn't crack. I put the other 4 in the Ebb & Gro yesterday. I put 2 in each of the empty buckets. Hope it works out ok. The practice plants are looking pretty sweet too. I can't wait until the rest of the garden goes to 12/12 so I won't have to remember to move them into the closet at 8PM and back into the box at 8AM everyday! It will be worth it though. They look like they're growing lots of buds. See ya! Tony |

I think you're right, Pan. They're a week old today and she's still going strong. She does look a little weird though. It's like the leaves are coming out discolored and all stuck together.
The rest are looking pretty good so far. Here's a 1 week old Violator Kush. Here's a group shot of the whole family. I chickened out on keeping 2 Powerskunks per pot in the ebb & gro. The Power Skunk seeds aren't femenized. I thought it could get ugly trying to get rid of a male if all the roots grow together. And I didn't want to leave a bunch of dead roots in the ebb & gro system. I made this cheap DWC to keep them in. The baby Power Skunks are 3 days old. I'm picking up a 250W MH light for this set up on Friday. I think they'll like that better than the Flourescents. |

Thanks Pan. By the way, I read through your journals the other day. Love yer work!
pcmoe5000: I've got about $3500 into the whole set up. Good luck! I look forward to seeing what you come up with. If I had it to do over, I'd really consider spending the money on a box like Ms. Fox has. That's a pretty slick set up.

I am using H+G with R/o water as well. I found you have to go a bit over 10ml per gallon(in flower) with the calmag and r/o water.they just eat it up. I expect you to see some great results.hope that helps.

You guys, I screwed up. I've been manually moving those practice plants in and out of the light every 12 hours. I overslept today. I got them up at noon. I was supposed to do it at 8am. So they just got 16 hours of dark. If it's going to hermie them I'd rather just get rid of them than spread pollen all over my box.
What should I do? Should I put them to bed tonight at 8pm like usual or should I wait until midnight so they still get 12 hrs of light? Thanks for any help!!! |
