Ch0d4's First Hydro/Aero/LED/CFL Grow -- NYCD/Dynamite/Nuken/Purple Kush

Hi all, new to the site (But a seasoned stoner). My buddies and I all chipped in to set this up. Grew in soil a few times, now trying a hydro setup. Looking forward to all the input I can get here from everyone. Here she goes (fingers crossed)


Medium: Hydroton
Lights: 2 X 300w LED Panels
Nutes: 700ppm Flora Nova + Floralicious + Diamond Nectar + Sweetner
pH: 5.4-6.0
Room Temp:74-78F
Water Temp:70F
Dynamite clones
8 Nuken seeds up out of 10
8 NYC Diesel cuttings from a mother we got from another buddy
2 Purple Kush, one in grow room, one in clone/mother closet

Looks like you're making quite a good transition from soil to soil-less. Can't wait for more info on the LED panels.
I didn't see the CFLs listed but they're in the title. Are you using them with the LEDs?

Ya for now its 6 23W CFL's but there will soon be 12. The LED panels are the equivelant of a 1000W HID

I'm growing under LED's too, and I'm curious as to the actual power consumption of your LEDs? I don't put much credit in the claims of the manufaturers and I'm trying to compare light systems based on power consumption rather than HID equivelancy claims.
I'm running 2x50 watt panels and 3x13 watt spotlights along with 1 Cf.

Sorry to bother you... but one more odd question... What's the sq/ft of your growing area? You appear to have a fairly large config, and I'm trying to get an idea of your watts per sqare foot.

I have 2 4x8 tables in a 9x12 room divided in half. 1 table has 1 LED panel for veg and 1 table has the other panel and 12 26w CFL for flowering.

2x 300w led panels
12x 23w cfl lights
2x 4'x8'x6" home made water tables 30" off the floor
2x 40 gal barrels 1 for veg (flora nova grow) 1 for flower (flora nova bloom)
2x 80 gph pondmaster pumps
1x tri meter (pH, ppm, temp)
1x 1000gph utility pump for drainage
200+ trips to home depot
100+ hours hard labour
lots of love
thats all I can think of atm
