400 watt MH/HPS grow from bag seeds

Well i have been growing for some time now and used to have a journal on here but things got hot for some time and i needed to lay low for a bit but now im back up and running so i figured i would start yet another journal. I will be posting pictures tonight.

Stats:

Light -400w MN Universal bulb.

Light -400w HPS Universal bulb.

Soil - Compost blend i make in my back yard.

Nute - Veg, using fox farm Piece Of Mind 5-8-4

Nute - Flowering Fox Farm Liquid Big Bloom .01-.3-.7

Intake - Stanley 100 blade blower, with ducting to exterior of box.

Export - 10" ducted fan blowing heat out of the top of the box.

Space - 4ft High x 2ft Wide x 4ft Long.

Pots - Growing in soil bags.

Reflection - White road construction paint (Highly reflective)

Ballast - 400watt switchable MH/HPS ballast. (Galexy)

Perlite - Using 1 cup per gallon of soil.

Thats about all that i can think of for right now, more to come later tonight along with pictures!

Took some more pictures today. went out and got some ducting along with some flanges for letting the air in and out of the box. The girls seem to be growing faster now. Noticed 4 new leaves growing out today. Till next time....

My girls seem to be getting sad that no one has any thing to say :( J/K well its been a few days so i figured i would do a bit of an up date. The girls are doing very well and starting to grow very fast, as i had hoped :) They will be started on there nutes sun night. I can wait for them to get bigger. Its always so much fun having a project set up reather then just buds to sell. Im also having so heat issues with the 400watt in a small space but im hoping to get a cooling inline fan very soon like i have in my other room. More to come later so hang out smoke a bowl and watch my little ones grow!!































Sorry about all the pictures guys. It's just that they seem to grow up so fast some times. Its like one day you pland a seed and then next thing you know she is giving you the most wonderful high ever and then she is gone never to return just the way she was. Hahahaha (honestly) :P

Thanks alot man! Im thinking of re-painting it tonight or in the next few days. The last time i painted it i did a lazy job and painted around things so now there are primer spots here and there.

Thanks for the good words man. Its been a couple of days since the last time that i posted but they seem to be growing so fast right now and i wan't this journal to turn out unlike my last one. Here are some more pictures of the girls. Also i have noticed that there are some brown spots ontop of the leaves that i know nothing about. They are brown and don't go all the way through the leaves but it doesnt look like any kind of burn or insect type of thing that i have seen before. If any one knows what might be the cause please let me know. Well enough yapping here is what they have been doing...

What can i say they seem to grow so fast. Its been a few days and starting the 27th they have been getting 2 table spoons per watering of fox farm peace of mind. I topped them for the first time today and plan on doing it 2 more times to each plant before i flower. Also started to trim the lower leaves off to alow for the plant to have a top rather then a whole bush down the stem. More to come soon. Let me know what you all think so far. dez97candycl, I have been trying for some time to figure out what i needed to do to add a button to my journals but wasn't able to until now. Thanks alot for the advice man. I will have more pictures up tonight or in the next couple of days.

All 3 of the girls have now been topped and i will be topping again in 1 week.

I will be topping each plant a total of 4 times but not on the main stem. I have done this many times before and it seems to give me a bigger yeaild as long as i add an extra week of veg for the plants just to stretch out and alow for the new branches to come in. Till next time...

Thanks alot WeedRyder and Tunes420. I went out shopping again today and decided to pick up some more stuff so i grabed a bag of Bat Guano 50-10-10. I love using guano the plants seem to do so well when its used with my Piece Of Mind for veg. Also had to pick up another set of ph up and down, seems to get used alot and runs out fast, but more then worth the money. Other then that figured i would post some more pictures. I also added a piece of white card board around my bags because i wont want the roots to see light. I think it looks and works well for now. Still misting them 2 times per day (not spraying) Till next time...














Lady 5 was topped yesterday so she is taking her time but still doing very well. Sorry to all the people that dont agree with topping to soon but wait till you see the bush of buds in the end.

Looking really great Canolove, all the plants are nice and bushy. Are you just going to top and let them grow, or maybe experiment with scrog / lst. I've been following munki's grow and the yield he's getting per plant with scrog is pretty epic.
