Instead of in the room. They said that plants can take more CO2 via the roots/res and that its much more efficient then trying to raise the room to 1500PPM. If this is the case then wouldnt it be best to add CO2 and O2 to the res? You could use something like one of those Turbo CO2 Bio Systems Turbo CO2 Bio System - up to 40 gallons or even a CO2 regulator and really cut down on the bottles you would need.
Can anyone confirm this? |

You beat me too it, MCBudz is correct, the roots use oxygen, the leaves absorb c02. C02 sinks, put it above to "mist" your plants. :)
I have read an article that c02 can help aquatic plants, but that's not the plant we all care about. :) |

Thats what I thought too, but then someone told me I was wrong so I started looking into it a bit more and found this that says it does help and am now confused. This guy SpeesCees has his own section here at 420 and seems to be well respected.

a buddy of mine posted something like this, i havnt read much about it but i had considered bubbling the CO2 through the res and then venting it into the room. another benefit of this is algea and other micro organisms would have trouble surviving without oxygen in the water

Hey bux
look bro, i wouldnt jump into giving the roots CO2 especially if you're still a novice or beginner grower(not saying you are, jus sayin in general).. get some for your room, as for as your roots, to best take care of them optimally, get some pirahhna and tarantula. they're a beautiful combo together and will give your roots beneficial bacteria & fungi.. and to put the cherry on the top, if you have extra $$ in your budget, get a few of these 3 Gallon Smart Pot 10"x 8.5" good luck bro

Depending on results it would be a lot cheaper to get proper CO2 saturation in a reservoir for people who have to vent there system to remove heat/humidity often. Quote:

yes that is true, so a tank of CO2 and a tank of 100% explosive medical O2 for the plants haha...foliar application definitely seems the quickest way to deliver CO2 and the simplest. the issue may be to get CO2 concentrations high enough in the resivoir it would have to be under pressure or heavily aerated
unless your grow room is completely air tight the resivoir would be more efficient if the same results can be achieved

If your room is Co2 enriched in one of the classic methods and you use a common air pump and stone to oxygenate the reservoir you are also adding more co2 to the root zone. Hopefully not at a negative cost due to the displacement of o2.

Well I have decided to setup two DWC systems for 2 clones each made from two crock pots one will just have the regular air pump and the other I will use a air pump and add CO2 to the reservoir to see if it works. My place is starting to stink like cannabis. Its time to plug in the ozone generator I think.

he harvests 700gr/m2 6,7 times in a year lol. He's def a big dog lol. but like i said, bux you might not want to try things like that without fully researching it. There are tons of techniques that growers use that are unorthodox but work for them. You seem to be doing pretty well with the aero setup you're getting.. get some co2 for the plants and perhaps look into the root injection some more for a later grow would be my friendly suggestion
