Soil/pH question

hey all. second grow here, and have a question regarding ph in soil.

If i adjust my nute solution/water to a ph of 6.8, and apply to soil (FFOF), my runoff is coming out at around 5.4. So using these numbers, should i be raising my nute solution to 8.2 to bring up my runoff to 7?

Or should i keep it close to 7?

If my runoff ph'd at 4, would i need to raise my nutes to a ph of 10?

Good ph for soil is around 6.5. If your runoff is as low as 4 I'd be flushing with ph 6.5 water till it raised up.

FFOF is like that fresh out of the bag. When wet the soil will ph at 4.8, over the course of drying the ph will gradually raise to 7. This is beneficial, it allows the plant to pick up more elements at different ph.
