Started Germ in Peat Pellet

I am a newbie at growing and I started my germination in a peat pellet. The seedling has already popped through the soil. When I lifted the peat pellet up I noticed the taproot coming out from the bottom of the pellet and I don't know what to do.

I was just under the impression that I was supposed to leave the seedling in the peat pellet and put under lights until roots appear before transplanting it. I'm just confused because the seedling is 6 days old today and a root has already appeared from the bottom of the peat pellet.

Put it in whatever medium you plan on growing in unless you plan on growing dwc or something but if that is the case you probably shouldn't have started the plant in a peat pellet.

How long after putting your seed in the pellet did she start to show above ground? Just want to ensure im being impatient and nothing is wrong. Thx in advance.

it can take a day or it can take up to 2 weeks (that is usually when its cold though) so there really isn't a solid answer.
