Re: rockwool to soil
Wouldn't think transplanting would be neccessary with 12" cubes, didn't even know they made them that big, opens all sorts of opportunities =>O

I had a feeling........., but imagine if it were true sprout ina 2" cube, veg
into a 3" cube, flower into 12" cube. Then just throw the whole mess away!:>) Using some sort of drip hydro system of course.>)

Re: rockwool to soil
Check out the first page of my White Rhino grow in my signature, I used 1.5" grodan rockwool cubes to sprout them in then I moved them into soil, they work very well with water. Enjoy.

Re: rockwool to soil
It's fine to transplant rockwool to soil.
The 1" cubes work fine for cloning, you want to wait until the clone is rooted which takes a lot less time to show with 1" or smaller cubes. Once some of the roots start showing through, plant the whole thing in soil. Remember, rockwool has no nutrients, always include some weak nutrient solution when watering your clones before transplanting, don't flush the cubes with pure water. |

Re: rockwool to soil
If you give your clones any nutes make sure its a weak, weak mixture. I dont water clones with nutes for about a week after I know they have rooted.

Re: rockwool to soil
Clones extract nutrients from the leaves to grow roots, they need nutrients and will quickly die without any. With Rockwool you need nutrients right away since it is totally free of any.
Always water rockwool with nutrients; also some rooting hormones and super thrive are good ideas. |

Re: rockwool to soil
You'll want to water the tops of the cubes in the dirt for at least a week, until they have roots enough to feed from soil.
