I flushed for 1 week before harvest. I drained the system and added straight distilled water.

Is "flushing only applicable to Hydroponic grown plants, or are you supposed to douse potted plants with excessive water????

U can flush a plant grow in anything. Its basically,to wash away the excess fertilizer and built up salts that result from consistent fertilizing w/out being flushed. without out doing so a grower is asking for complications that can stymie a decent crop.
